Meet Harry

Harry Gill holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Movement from University of South Australia, before furthering his studies and completing a Masters Degree in Strength and conditioning from Edith Cowan University. Harry previously has spent time in an intern sports science role with Adelaide Crows in 2013, conditioning coach for field hockey, and a role at EDGE10, an athlete data management system before joining Catapult in March 2021. Harry currently supports teams in the Australian region and is most proud of his previous work supporting the Australian Football League (AFL) & Women’s Australian Football League (AFLW), Wallabies Rugby Union and a small stint in New Zealand assisting the Crusaders Rugby Union team. Harry took a year overseas back in 2019/2020 to play field hockey in the Netherlands.

Meet Naomi

Naomi Wallis completed a degree in Human Movement from Sydney’s University of Technology. Further to this degree, she has completed a Level 1 Strength & Conditioning course and a Cert 3 in Personal Training. Naomi brings with her previous experience as a sports science intern at Parramatta Eels and head of sports science at West Tigers before starting with Catapult in February 2018. Naomi currently supports team’s in the Australian region and is most proud of her current work supporting all of the National Rugby League (Men’s and Women’s teams), Melbourne Victory Organisation (Men’s, Women’s and Pathways) as well as the Australian Rugby League Teams (Kangaroos & Jillaroos). Naomi is a lover of pineapple on her pizza, which makes sense given she lives in the tropical regions of Australia! 

Meet Junhyun

Junhyun Kwon completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Education from Sejong University and furthered it with a Masters Degree in Exercise Physiology also at Sejong University. Junhyun brings with him previous experience as a Sports Scientist at the Qatar Doha U22 cup, Sports Scientist with the Korean Football team at the 19th Hangzhou Asian Games, and a Physical Coach for the U19 International Friendly Football Competition. Junhyun started at Catapult in December 2021 and the main region he is responsible for supporting is South Korea. He is most proud of his time supporting the Korean Football Association, Korea Institute of Sports Science, Woori Card Volleyball Club, Changwon LG Sakers and Incheon United. Junhyun is one of our resident athletes, he was a semi professional footballer until 2017 and his main position was Centre Back. His idol was Sergio Ramos from Real Madrid, but supports Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspurs because of the South Korean national heroes of Park and Son. So ask him anything football related!

Meet James

James Simpson began his career with a Bachelor’s Degree of Applied Science through RMIT and then an Honours of Sports Studies through University of Canberra. Further to this, James also holds a Masters in High Performance Sport from ACU, Cert III/IV in Fitness and is an Applied Level 4 Performance Analyst (ISPAS). Before starting at Catapult in September 2018, James did a postgraduate performance analyst role at AIS, performance analyst at North Melbourne Football Club and most recently was a senior performance analyst at Malaysian Institute of Sport for 4 years working across a number of sports. James currently supports all teams in APAC using Catapult’s Focus video software. Over the years at Catapult, James is most proud of his work he has done servicing Essendon Bombers AFL, Australian Institute of Sport and the National Rugby League (NRL). When James is not working he loves spending time looking after his lawn to keep it green. He is also a very keen musician, fun fact James used to play guitar in a pop-punk band called Between You and Me.
